Serves 4

Ingredients

Hot dogs
4
Hot dog buns
4
Bacon strips
8
Eggs
4
Cheddar cheese
1 cup, shredded
Salt
to taste
Black pepper
to taste
Butter
1 tablespoon (for cooking eggs)

Instructions

  1. Cook the hot dogs according to the package instructions and keep them warm in a covered dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.
  3. Using the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of butter. When melted, crack the eggs into the skillet and cook them to your liking (scrambled or fried). Season with salt and pepper.
  4. If desired, toast the hot dog buns in the skillet until golden brown.
  5. Assemble each breakfast dog by placing a hot dog in a bun, topping it with a cooked egg, two strips of crispy bacon, and a generous sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Serve the Ultimate Breakfast Dogs immediately, while they're still warm and the cheese is melty.

Tips

  • 💡 For added flavor, consider adding sautéed onions or bell peppers to the egg mixture.
  • 💡 Try using different types of cheese, such as pepper jack for a spicy kick!
  • 💡 For a healthier option, use turkey bacon or omit the bacon altogether.
