Ingredients

Original recipe serves 6

Fresh broccoli
4 cups, chopped into small florets
Bacon
8 slices, cooked until crispy and crumbled
Red onion
1/2 cup, finely chopped
Raisins
1/2 cup
Sunflower seeds
1/2 cup, roasted and unsalted
Mayonnaise
1 cup
White vinegar
2 tablespoons
Granulated sugar
1 tablespoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, crumbled bacon, finely chopped red onion, raisins, and roasted sunflower seeds. Toss gently to mix.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, white vinegar, granulated sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.
  3. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss thoroughly to coat every ingredient evenly.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully.
  5. Serve chilled, and enjoy the crunchy, creamy, and savory flavors!

Tips

  • 💡 For an added crunch, try using toasted almonds or walnuts instead of sunflower seeds.
  • 💡 Substitute Greek yogurt for half of the mayonnaise for a lighter, healthier version.
  • 💡 Add diced apples or pears for a sweet twist that complements the savory bacon.
