Bruschetta Burger

Experience the delightful fusion of Italian flavors with this Bruschetta Burger. A juicy, grilled beef patty is topped with a vibrant mix of fresh tomatoes, fragrant basil, and aromatic garlic, all crowned with creamy mozzarella and a tangy balsamic glaze. This burger not only satisfies your hunger but also transports your taste buds to the sunny streets of Italy. Perfect for summer cookouts or a gourmet twist on a classic backyard BBQ!

Ingredients

Burger buns
4, toasted
Ground beef
1 pound (80/20 blend for flavor)
Mozzarella cheese
4 slices
Balsamic glaze
1/4 cup
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Basil leaves
1 cup, chopped
Tomatoes
2 cups, diced (preferably roma or vine-ripened)
Salt
to taste
Pepper
to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing while grilling.
  3. Grill the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness (medium-rare is about 130°F).
  4. While the burgers are grilling, prepare the bruschetta topping by combining the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, and olive oil in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and let it sit to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each burger patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
  6. Once cooked, place each patty on a toasted burger bun. Top generously with the tomato-basil mixture and drizzle with balsamic glaze for that perfect finishing touch.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your Bruschetta Burger!

Tips

  • 💡 For a spicy kick, add crushed red pepper flakes to the bruschetta mixture.
  • 💡 If you want to switch up the cheese, try using burrata for a creamier texture.
  • 💡 Grill some zucchini or bell peppers alongside the burgers for a delicious veggie side.
