Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, carrot, cabbage, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Lay out the dough wrappers on a clean surface. Spoon a small amount of the meat and vegetable mixture onto the center of each wrapper.
- Fold the wrapper in half over the filling. Pinch the edges to seal, creating a half-moon shape.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Carefully place the dumplings in the skillet, ensuring they do not touch each other.
- Cook the dumplings until golden brown on the bottom, which should take about 3-4 minutes.
- Carefully add water to the skillet, ensuring you don't splash the hot oil. Cover the skillet and let the dumplings steam for 8-10 minutes, or until they're cooked through.
- Serve the dumplings hot, with soy sauce or your preferred dipping sauce on the side.
Tips
- For a vegetarian alternative, you can replace the ground beef with tofu or a mix of your favorite vegetables.
- You can make the dumpling wrappers ahead of time and freeze them for future use.
