Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Shrimp
- 1 pound, peeled and deveined
- Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons
- Bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup
- Egg
- 1, beaten
- Garlic
- 2 cloves, minced
- Green onions
- 1/4 cup, chopped
- Lettuce
- 4 leaves, for topping
- Tomato
- 1, sliced
- Hamburger buns
- 4, for serving
- Mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup
- Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the peeled shrimp, Cajun seasoning, bread crumbs, beaten egg, minced garlic, and chopped green onions. Pulse until the mixture is well combined but still slightly chunky for texture.
- Form the shrimp mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, ensuring they hold together.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Cook the shrimp patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a golden char. Make sure they are firm to the touch.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the remoulade sauce by combining mayonnaise and lemon juice in a small bowl. Mix until smooth and set aside.
- To assemble the burgers, spread a generous amount of remoulade sauce on the bottom half of each hamburger bun.
- Top with a crisp lettuce leaf, a shrimp patty, and a slice of juicy tomato. Finish with the top half of the bun.
- Serve the Cajun shrimp burgers immediately, accompanied by extra remoulade sauce on the side for dipping.
