Olive oil
2 tablespoons, for drizzling

to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness, ensuring it's evenly shaped.
  3. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce, creating a luscious layer.
  5. Evenly arrange the slices of Calabrese salami on top of the cheese, allowing for maximum flavor in every bite.
  6. Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the pizza stone if using) and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  7. Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and immediately top with the torn fresh basil leaves for a burst of freshness.
  8. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  9. Slice the pizza into wedges and serve hot, enjoying the symphony of flavors!
