
Calamari Rings
Crispy, golden and mouth-watering tender rings of calamari work either as an appetizer or a light main course.
Ingredients
- Marinara sauce (for serving)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Breadcrumbs (1 cup)
- Eggs (2, beaten)
- All (purpose flour - 1 cup)
- Calamari (1 pound, cleaned and cut into rings)
Instructions
- Pat the calamari rings dry with a paper towel.
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each calamari ring into the beaten eggs, then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the calamari rings in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve the calamari rings with lemon wedges and marinara sauce.
