Cannelloni

Delicious cannelloni stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese, topped with tomato sauce and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • Fresh basil (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Mozzarella cheese (1 cup, shredded)
  • Tomato sauce (2 cups)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Egg (1, beaten)
  • Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
  • Ricotta cheese (250g)
  • Spinach (500g, cooked and chopped)
  • Cannelloni tubes (12)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spinach, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stuff the cannelloni tubes with the spinach and ricotta mixture.
  4. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Arrange the stuffed cannelloni tubes in the baking dish.
  6. Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the cannelloni.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
