
Cannelloni
Delicious cannelloni stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese, topped with tomato sauce and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- Fresh basil (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Mozzarella cheese (1 cup, shredded)
- Tomato sauce (2 cups)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Egg (1, beaten)
- Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
- Ricotta cheese (250g)
- Spinach (500g, cooked and chopped)
- Cannelloni tubes (12)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spinach, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the cannelloni tubes with the spinach and ricotta mixture.
- Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the stuffed cannelloni tubes in the baking dish.
- Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the cannelloni.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
