
Caprese Salad with Fresh Basil
A refreshing and simple salad made with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and basil leaves.
Ingredients
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Balsamic vinegar (1 tablespoon)
- Extra virgin olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Fresh basil leaves (1 cup)
- Fresh mozzarella cheese (8 ounces, sliced)
- Tomatoes (2 large, sliced)
Instructions
- Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices on a serving plate.
- Tuck the fresh basil leaves in between the tomato and mozzarella slices.
- Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
