Capricciosa Pizza

A delicious Italian pizza topped with ham, mushrooms, artichokes, olives, and mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

  • Fresh basil (a handful, chopped)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Olive oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Black olives (1/4 cup, sliced)
  • Artichoke hearts (4 pieces, quartered)
  • Mushrooms (4 ounces, sliced)
  • Ham (4 slices, diced)
  • Mozzarella cheese (1 cup, shredded)
  • Tomato sauce (1/2 cup)
  • Pizza dough (1 pound)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Top the pizza with diced ham, sliced mushrooms, quartered artichoke hearts, and sliced black olives.
  7. Drizzle the olive oil over the toppings and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle with fresh chopped basil.
  10. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
