Cha Kdav Sach Chrouk

Cha Kdav Sach Chrouk is a traditional Cambodian dish made with marinated pork and served with rice.

Ingredients

  • Cooked rice (4 cups)
  • Green onions (4, chopped)
  • Onion (1, thinly sliced)
  • Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Black pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Sugar (1 tablespoon)
  • Fish sauce (2 tablespoons)
  • Lemongrass (2 stalks, minced)
  • Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
  • Pork shoulder (1 lb, thinly sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, lemongrass, fish sauce, sugar, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Add the sliced pork to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the marinated pork to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 10 minutes.
  6. Add the chopped green onions and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Serve the Cha Kdav Sach Chrouk over cooked rice.
