
Char Kroeung Sach Ko
Char Kroeung Sach Ko is a traditional Cambodian stir-fry dish made with lemongrass paste and beef.
Ingredients
- Salt (to taste)
- Red chili peppers (2, thinly sliced)
- Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
- Sugar (1 tablespoon)
- Fish sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Kaffir lime leaves (4 leaves, thinly sliced)
- Shallots (2, finely chopped)
- Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
- Lemongrass (3 stalks, finely chopped)
- Beef (500 grams, thinly sliced)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the lemongrass, garlic, shallots, kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce, sugar, and salt to make the lemongrass paste.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add the lemongrass paste and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the beef slices and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
- Add the red chili peppers and stir-fry for an additional 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice.
