Ingredients

Pie crust
1 (9-inch), store-bought or homemade
Bacon
6 strips, cooked and crumbled
Cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups, shredded (sharp or mild, to your preference)
Green onions
1/4 cup, chopped
Heavy cream
1 cup
Eggs
4 large
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate, pressing it firmly into the edges. Set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain, then crumble it into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Evenly distribute the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese in the bottom of the pie crust.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper until well combined and slightly frothy.
  6. Carefully pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese in the pie crust, ensuring an even distribution.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped green onions over the top of the quiche.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set in the center and lightly browned on top. The edges should be golden and the filling puffed.
