Flour tortillas
4 (8-inch)
Cheddar cheese
2 cups, shredded
Butter
2 tablespoons, softened
Guacamole
1 cup
Salsa
1 cup
Sour cream
1 cup

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread softened butter on one side of each tortilla. This will help achieve a golden, crispy exterior.
  3. Place one tortilla, butter side down, in the skillet.
  4. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the tortilla. Use more cheese if you prefer extra gooeyness!
  5. Place another tortilla on top, butter side up, creating a sandwich of cheese goodness.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom tortilla is golden brown and the cheese begins to melt.
  7. Carefully flip the quesadilla using a spatula and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the second tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  8. Remove from the skillet and let it cool for a minute before cutting.
  9. Cut the quesadilla into wedges and serve hot with a generous dollop of sour cream, fresh guacamole, and zesty salsa.
