Servings: 2

Ingredients

Instant ramen noodles
1 package
Water
2 cups (for cooking noodles)
Butter
1 tablespoon
Cheddar cheese
1 cup, shredded
Milk
1/2 cup
Egg
1 (for soft-boiled)
Green onions
2, sliced
Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
Sesame oil
1 teaspoon
Red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the instant ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Once melted, add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and 1/2 cup of milk. Stir continuously until the cheese is fully melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. In another small saucepan, bring water to a boil and gently lower in 1 egg. Boil for 6 minutes for a soft-boiled texture. Remove from heat, peel, and set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ramen noodles with the cheese sauce, adding in the sliced green onions, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, and 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes. Toss well to ensure the noodles are evenly coated in the creamy sauce.
  5. Divide the cheesy ramen into serving bowls and top each bowl with the soft-boiled egg, sliced in half to reveal the luscious yolk.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions or red pepper flakes if desired, and enjoy this comforting dish!
