Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Breadcrumbs (1/2 cup)
  • Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
  • Cheddar cheese (2 cups, shredded)
  • Milk (2 cups)
  • All (purpose flour - 1/4 cup)
  • Butter (4 tablespoons)
  • Cabbage (1 large head, shredded)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the shredded cabbage and cook until slightly softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the cabbage and stir to coat.
  5. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Transfer the cabbage mixture to a baking dish.
  8. In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.
  9. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the cabbage.
