Chicken breasts
1.5 lbs, cut into bite-sized pieces
Olive oil
1/4 cup
Lemon juice
3 tablespoons
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Dried oregano
2 teaspoons
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Cucumber
1, sliced
Red onion
1, thinly sliced
Tomatoes
2, diced
Pita bread
4 pieces
Tzatziki sauce
1 cup

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, tossing to ensure they are evenly coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for deeper flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  6. While the chicken is grilling, warm the pita bread on the grill for a few seconds on each side until soft and pliable.
  7. To serve, spread a generous amount of tzatziki sauce on each warmed pita bread. Top with grilled chicken skewers, and add sliced tomatoes, red onion, and cucumber.
  8. Fold the pita in half and savor the delicious flavors of Greece in every bite!
