Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, paprika, cumin, coriander, turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss to ensure they are evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring the grates are clean and well-oiled to prevent sticking.
- Remove the chicken wings from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Discard the leftover marinade.
- Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil, then place the chicken wings on the grill. Grill for about 10-12 minutes per side, or until the wings are fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F) and have beautiful char marks.
- Once grilled, remove the wings from the heat and transfer them to a serving platter.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of freshness.
Tips
- For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red chili powder to the marinade.
- If you don’t have a grill, you can bake the wings in the oven at 425°F (220°C) for about 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
- Serve these wings with a cooling mint yogurt sauce for a delightful contrast to the spices.
