Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it cool on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and red chili flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Lower the heat and pour in the soy sauce, honey, and lime juice. Stir the mixture until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
- Once the chicken has cooled, slice it into thin strips and arrange them on a serving plate.
- Drizzle the spicy sauce generously over the sliced chicken and sprinkle with fresh cilantro for a burst of color and flavor.
- Chill the dish in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to let the flavors meld together.
Tips
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the soy sauce, honey, and lime juice mixture for 30 minutes before cooking.
- This dish pairs wonderfully with a side of jasmine rice or a refreshing cucumber salad to balance the spiciness.
