Ingredients

Chicken breasts
4, boneless and skinless
Salt
1 teaspoon, to taste
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon, to taste
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Red chili flakes
1-2 teaspoons, adjust for desired spiciness
Soy sauce
1/4 cup
Honey
2 tablespoons
Lime juice
2 tablespoons, freshly squeezed
Fresh cilantro
1/4 cup, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it cool on a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and red chili flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Lower the heat and pour in the soy sauce, honey, and lime juice. Stir the mixture until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Once the chicken has cooled, slice it into thin strips and arrange them on a serving plate.
  6. Drizzle the spicy sauce generously over the sliced chicken and sprinkle with fresh cilantro for a burst of color and flavor.
  7. Chill the dish in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to let the flavors meld together.
