
Chimichurri Steak Sandwiches
These delicious chimichurri steak sandwiches are packed with flavor and perfect for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- Red onion (1/2, thinly sliced)
- Tomato (1, sliced)
- Lettuce (4 leaves)
- Baguette (4 small, sliced)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Red pepper flakes (1/2 teaspoon)
- Fresh oregano (1 tablespoon, chopped)
- Fresh cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Fresh parsley (1/2 cup, chopped)
- Red wine vinegar (2 tablespoons)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Flank steak (1 pound)
Instructions
- Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Season the flank steak with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, chopped parsley, chopped cilantro, chopped oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to make the chimichurri sauce.
- Grill the flank steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
- Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
- Spread a generous amount of chimichurri sauce on one side of each baguette slice.
- Layer the sliced steak, lettuce, tomato, and red onion on top of the chimichurri-spread baguette slices.
- Top with another baguette slice to make a sandwich.
