Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare your muffin tin by lining it with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, thoroughly combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract. This will form your wet mixture.
- Gradually add the wet mixture into the dry mixture, stirring lightly until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as it can make the muffins tough.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips into the batter.
- Scoop the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup to about 2/3 full. This will ensure the muffins don't overflow as they rise.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean. This is the best way to check if the muffins are fully baked.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. This will prevent the muffins from becoming soggy from the heat.
