Orange zest
1 tablespoon
Ice cubes
1 cup
Honey
2 tablespoons
Cocoa powder
2 tablespoons
Almond milk
1 cup
Frozen banana
1, whole
Orange juice
1/2 cup, fresh
Chocolate protein powder
2 scoops

Instructions

  1. Begin by zesting the orange until you have about a tablespoon of zest.
  2. Next, in a high-speed blender, add the chocolate protein powder, fresh orange juice, whole frozen banana, almond milk, cocoa powder, honey, and ice cubes.
  3. Blend the mixture on high speed until it's smooth, creamy, and well combined. This should take about 2 minutes.
  4. Once blended, add in the orange zest and blend for another 30 seconds to mix it throughout the shake.
  5. Pour the shake into a glass, garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder and a little extra orange zest, and enjoy!

Tips

  • 💡 For a vegan version, you can replace honey with maple syrup or dates. You can also use a vegan protein powder. For an extra protein kick, add a spoonful of almond or peanut butter.
