
Churros Rellenos
Delicious churros filled with creamy chocolate ganache.
Ingredients
- Heavy cream (1/2 cup)
- Dark chocolate (4 ounces)
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Eggs (3)
- All (purpose flour - 1 cup)
- Salt (1/4 teaspoon)
- Sugar (1 tablespoon)
- Butter (1/2 cup)
- Water (1 cup)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add flour. Stir until the mixture forms a ball.
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Pipe 4-inch long churros into the hot oil, cutting them with scissors.
- Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a separate bowl, melt the dark chocolate and mix in the heavy cream to make the ganache filling.
- Using a small piping bag or a ziplock bag with the corner snipped off, fill the churros with the chocolate ganache.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
