Ingredients
- Frozen hashbrowns
- 1 (30-ounce) bag
- Unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons, divided
- Sugar
- 1/4 cup
- Ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons
- Cream cheese
- 4 ounces, softened
- Powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup
- Milk
- 1/4 cup
- Vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the frozen hashbrowns evenly in the prepared baking dish and dot with 2 tablespoons of the softened butter.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture generously over the hashbrowns.
- Dot the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over the top of the hashbrowns.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the hashbrowns are golden and crispy.
- While the hashbrowns are baking, prepare the cream cheese icing. In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Once the hashbrowns are done baking, remove them from the oven and drizzle the cream cheese icing generously over the hot hashbrowns.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the delightful combination of sweet and savory!
Tips
- For an extra touch of flavor, consider adding chopped pecans or walnuts to the hashbrowns before baking.
- If you prefer a sweeter topping, feel free to increase the amount of powdered sugar to taste in the cream cheese icing.
- These hashbrowns can also be prepared in an air fryer for a quicker, crunchier option—just adjust the cooking time accordingly.
