Ingredients

Original recipe serves 6

Salt
1/2 teaspoon (or to taste)
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon (or to taste)
Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon
Sugar
2 tablespoons
Apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup
Mayonnaise
1 cup
Carrots
2, medium-sized, grated
Green cabbage
1 small head, shredded

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the shredded cabbage and grated carrots.
  2. In a separate bowl, prepare the dressing. Whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined and smooth.
  3. Pour the prepared dressing over the cabbage and carrots mixture. Toss until all the vegetables are well coated with the dressing.
  4. Cover the bowl with cling wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This allows the flavors to meld together and the vegetables to soak up the dressing.
  5. Before serving, toss the coleslaw once more to redistribute the dressing. Serve chilled for the best taste and enjoy!

Tips

  • 💡 For a healthier version, you can replace half the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.
  • 💡 Adding a dash of celery seed to the dressing can give your coleslaw a unique flavor.
  • 💡 For a colorful variant, try using a mix of green and red cabbage.
