Ingredients

Original recipe serves 1

Cocoa powder
1 tablespoon
Sugar
1 tablespoon (adjust to taste)
Cognac
1 ounce
Milk
6 ounces (whole or your choice of milk)
Espresso
1 shot (approximately 1 ounce)

Instructions

  1. Start by brewing a shot of espresso using your preferred method.
  2. In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk over medium heat until it's hot but not boiling. You want it to steam lightly.
  3. Once the milk is heated, pour it into a blender. Add the cognac, sugar, and cocoa powder.
  4. Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds, or until the mixture is frothy and well combined. If you don't have a blender, you can use a milk frother or whisk to achieve the frothiness.
  5. Pour the frothy milk mixture carefully over the freshly brewed espresso shot.
  6. For a finishing touch, sprinkle a pinch of cocoa powder on top for garnish.
  7. Serve immediately while hot and enjoy this decadent coffee experience!

Tips

  • 💡 For an extra indulgent touch, consider adding a dollop of whipped cream on top.
  • 💡 Experiment with flavored cognacs or infuse your milk with spices like cinnamon or nutmeg for a unique twist.
  • 💡 If you prefer a less intense drink, you can use half-and-half or oat milk for a creamier texture.
