Homemade Colombiana Soda
Experience the authentic taste of Colombia with this homemade version of the beloved Colombiana soda. This effervescent, citrusy vanilla drink is a national treasure and often accompanies traditional Colombian meals. Ingredients
- 4 cups Carbonated water
- A few drops, orange or red Organic food coloring (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon Pure lemon extract
- 1/2 teaspoon Pure orange extract
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Granulated sugar

Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the sugar syrup to cool down to room temperature.
- Once cooled, stir in the orange extract, lemon extract, and vanilla extract. If you'd like to mimic the traditional color of Colombiana soda, add a few drops of organic food coloring. Stir until well combined.
- When ready to serve, pour 1/4 cup of the homemade syrup into a tall glass. Top it up with 1 cup of chilled carbonated water. Stir gently to combine the syrup and carbonated water until well mixed.
- Repeat the process for the remaining servings. Enjoy your homemade Colombiana soda over ice for a truly refreshing experience.
