Ultimate Cookies and Cream Cheesecake
Surrender to the temptation of this ultimate cookies and cream cheesecake. It's a heavenly fusion of a crunchy, chocolatey cookie crust and a luxuriously creamy Oreo filling. This dessert is a delightful treat, combining the nostalgia of childhood cookies with the sophistication of a classic cheesecake. Ingredients
- Crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (Oreo)
- 2 cups
- Whipped cream
- 1 cup, for garnish
- Eggs
- 3 large
- All-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon
- Sour cream
- 1/2 cup
- Vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon
- Granulated sugar
- 1 cup
- Cream cheese
- 3 (8 ounce) packages, softened
- Unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup, melted
- Whole chocolate sandwich cookies (Oreo)
- 8-10, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a food processor, pulse the chocolate sandwich cookies until finely ground.
- In a bowl, combine the finely ground cookies and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch (23 cm) springform pan to form the crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Add the sour cream and flour to the cream cheese mixture, and mix until well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Fold in the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies into the cheesecake mixture.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust in the springform pan.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are slightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let the cheesecake cool to room temperature. It will firm up as it cools.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the cheesecake to set.
- Before serving, top the cheesecake with a generous swirl of whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed chocolate sandwich cookies.
- For an extra touch, place whole chocolate sandwich cookies around the edge of the cheesecake.
- Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy!
