1 cup
Granulated sugar
1/4 cup
Baking powder
1 tablespoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Milk
1 cup
Eggs
2, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking dish or cast-iron skillet for a traditional touch.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, beaten eggs, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Avoid overmixing to ensure a light texture.
