Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Linguine pasta (8 ounces)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
- Red pepper flakes (1/2 teaspoon (adjust to taste))
- White wine (1/2 cup)
- Heavy cream (1 cup)
- Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
- Crab meat (1 pound, cooked and shredded)
- Fresh parsley (1/4 cup, chopped (for garnish))
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Cook the linguine pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside, reserving a small cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
- Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for about 2 minutes, allowing it to reduce slightly.
- Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it.
- Gently fold in the cooked and shredded crab meat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss well to coat the pasta in the creamy garlic sauce. If needed, add more pasta water for a silkier sauce.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy hot, paired with a glass of white wine!
