Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, pork aspic, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until well incorporated.
  2. Take one dumpling wrapper and place a spoonful of the crab mixture in the center. Be careful not to overfill.
  3. Wet the edges of the wrapper with a little water. Fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal tightly. Make sure there are no air pockets.
  4. Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  5. Prepare a steamer basket lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking. Arrange the dumplings in the steamer, ensuring they are not touching.
  6. Bring water to a boil in a pot and place the steamer basket over it. Steam the dumplings for about 15 minutes, or until they are translucent and cooked through.
  7. Serve the dumplings hot with soy sauce for dipping. Enjoy the burst of flavors with each dumpling!

Tips

  • 💡 For an extra kick, add a pinch of chili oil to the filling.
  • 💡 If you want a richer flavor, consider adding a bit of minced garlic to the mixture.
  • 💡 These dumplings can be frozen before cooking. Just steam them straight from the freezer, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
