Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, pork aspic, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until well incorporated.
- Take one dumpling wrapper and place a spoonful of the crab mixture in the center. Be careful not to overfill.
- Wet the edges of the wrapper with a little water. Fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal tightly. Make sure there are no air pockets.
- Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Prepare a steamer basket lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking. Arrange the dumplings in the steamer, ensuring they are not touching.
- Bring water to a boil in a pot and place the steamer basket over it. Steam the dumplings for about 15 minutes, or until they are translucent and cooked through.
- Serve the dumplings hot with soy sauce for dipping. Enjoy the burst of flavors with each dumpling!
Tips
- For an extra kick, add a pinch of chili oil to the filling.
- If you want a richer flavor, consider adding a bit of minced garlic to the mixture.
- These dumplings can be frozen before cooking. Just steam them straight from the freezer, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
