Ingredients
- Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Thyme (1 teaspoon, fresh)
- Mixed mushrooms (2 cups, sliced)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Baguette (1, sliced into 1/2 inch thick rounds)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush each slice with olive oil.
- Bake for 10 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crispy.
- While the bread is baking, heat the remaining olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the mushrooms and thyme, season with salt and pepper, and cook until the mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Top each slice of bread with the mushroom mixture and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Return the crostini to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
