Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat, then form into 4 equal patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of Swiss cheese and a slice of ham. Cover the grill or skillet with a lid to melt the cheese.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the buns. Spread 1 tablespoon of mustard on the bottom half of each bun.
- Once the patties are cooked and the cheese is melted, place each patty on top of the mustard-covered bun, add two slices of dill pickles, and cap with the top half of the bun.
- Serve the burgers hot with your choice of sides.
Tips
- For an added kick, consider adding sliced jalapeños or a splash of hot sauce to the mustard.
- Feel free to swap out Swiss cheese for other favorites like cheddar or pepper jack for a twist on flavor.
- Pair these burgers with sweet potato fries or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
