Ground coffee
2 tablespoons
Dried currants
2 tablespoons
Fresh thyme leaves
1 teaspoon
Hot water
1 cup
Honey
to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a coffee filter or French press, combine the ground coffee, dried currants, and fresh thyme leaves.
  2. Bring water to a boil and then let it cool slightly before pouring it over the coffee mixture.
  3. Pour hot water over the coffee mixture and let it steep for 4-5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. If using a coffee filter, carefully remove it from the brewing vessel. If using a French press, press down the plunger to separate the liquid from the grounds.
  5. Taste your coffee and sweeten with honey if desired, stirring well to combine.
  6. Serve hot in your favorite mug and enjoy the unique flavors of currant and thyme in each sip.
