Ingredients
- Ground chicken
- 1 pound
- Curry powder
- 2 tablespoons
- Garlic
- 2 cloves, minced
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon
- Plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup
- Tomato
- 1, sliced
- Lettuce
- 4 leaves, washed and dried
- Burger buns
- 4, toasted
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, curry powder, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands to mix until everything is evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat. Once hot, place the patties on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the patties are golden brown.
- While the burgers are grilling, prepare the yogurt sauce by combining plain yogurt and lemon juice in a small bowl. Stir well and season with a pinch of salt if desired.
- To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Add a cooked chicken patty, a slice of tomato, and a generous dollop of the yogurt sauce. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
