Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Wooden skewers
- 8-10, soaked in water for 30 minutes
- Sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons, toasted
- Green onions
- 2, finely chopped
- Vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon
- Fresh ginger
- 1-inch piece, grated
- Garlic
- 4 cloves, minced
- Honey
- 3 tablespoons
- Soy sauce
- 1/4 cup
- Chicken breast
- 1.5 pounds, cut into 1-inch cubes
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, vegetable oil, chopped green onions, and toasted sesame seeds to create a flavorful marinade.
- Add the cubed chicken to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for enhanced flavor.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat, ensuring it's well-oiled to prevent sticking.
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- Place the skewers on the grill, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is fully cooked through and has developed a lovely char.
- Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy hot, garnished with extra sesame seeds and green onions.
