Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Chicken feet (2 pounds, cleaned and nails removed)
  • Soy sauce (1/4 cup)
  • Gochujang (Korean red chili paste) (3 tablespoons)
  • Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
  • Ginger (1 tablespoon, minced)
  • Sugar (1 tablespoon)
  • Sesame oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Green onions (2, chopped (for garnish))
  • Sesame seeds (1 tablespoon (for garnish))

Instructions

  1. Begin by thoroughly cleaning the chicken feet, ensuring that all nails have been removed.
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the chicken feet. Boil for about 10 minutes to tenderize them.
  3. Once boiled, drain the chicken feet and rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, gochujang, minced garlic, minced ginger, sugar, and sesame oil. Stir until well combined to create the marinade.
  5. Add the cleaned chicken feet to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator, allowing the flavors to penetrate.
  6. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken feet along with all of the marinade.
  7. Cook for approximately 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken feet are tender and the sauce has thickened to a sticky consistency.
  8. Before serving, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for an added crunch and flavor.
