- Lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons
- Yogurt
- 1 cup
- Ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon
- Paprika
- 1 teaspoon
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Boneless chicken thighs
- 1 pound
- Lamb or beef
- 1 pound, sliced thinly
- Flatbread
- 4 pieces
- Tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup
- Lettuce
- 2 cups, shredded
- Onion
- 1, thinly sliced
- Tomatoes
- 2, sliced
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, yogurt, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs and thinly sliced lamb or beef to the marinade. Ensure the meat is well coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for maximum flavor.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the marinated meat on the grill or skillet for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred. Remove the meat from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- While the meat is resting, warm the flatbreads in a pan or on the grill for a few seconds on each side until pliable.
- Spread a generous amount of tzatziki sauce on each flatbread.
- Layer a few slices of the cooked meat on top of the tzatziki sauce.
- Add sliced tomatoes, onions, and shredded lettuce on top of the meat for a fresh crunch.
- Fold the sides of the flatbread over the filling and roll it tightly to create a wrap.
- Serve the doner kebab wraps immediately while warm, and enjoy the explosion of flavors!
