Ingredients

Lamb or Beef
2 pounds, thinly sliced
Pita bread
4 pieces
Garlic
4 cloves, minced
Olive oil
1/4 cup
Red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Fresh mint
1/4 cup, chopped
Fresh parsley
1/4 cup, chopped
Cucumber
1, diced
Tomato
1, diced
Onion
1, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the red wine vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to create a flavorful marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced meat to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight to enhance the flavors.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If you have a vertical rotisserie, prepare it according to the manufacturer's instructions. Alternatively, you can use a grill or a regular oven.
  4. Thread the marinated meat onto the rotisserie skewer (or place on a baking tray for grilling) and cook for about 2 hours, or until the meat is cooked through and has a crispy exterior.
  5. While the meat is cooking, prepare the fresh vegetable mixture. In a large bowl, combine the diced cucumber, diced tomato, sliced onion, chopped parsley, chopped mint, salt, and pepper. Toss gently to mix and set aside.
  6. Once the meat is done, carefully remove it from the rotisserie and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice it thinly using a sharp knife.
