
Dosa Masala
Dosa Masala is a popular South Indian dish made with crispy dosa and a flavorful potato masala filling.
Ingredients
- Fresh coriander leaves (2 tablespoons, chopped)
- Oil (2 tablespoons)
- Salt (to taste)
- Turmeric powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Mustard seeds (1 teaspoon)
- Curry leaves (10 leaves)
- Ginger (1-inch piece, grated)
- Green chilies (2, finely chopped)
- Onion (1 large, finely chopped)
- Potatoes (4 medium, boiled and mashed)
- Dosa batter (2 cups)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add curry leaves, chopped onion, green chilies, and grated ginger. Saute until onions turn translucent.
- Add turmeric powder and mashed potatoes. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add salt and chopped coriander leaves. Mix again and turn off the heat.
- Heat a non-stick pan or a dosa tawa.
- Pour a ladleful of dosa batter onto the center of the pan and spread it in a circular motion to make a thin dosa.
- Drizzle some oil around the edges of the dosa and cook until it turns golden brown and crispy.
- Place a portion of the potato masala filling in the center of the dosa and fold it over.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
