Ingredients

Puff pastry
1 sheet, thawed
Durian flesh
1 cup, mashed
Whipping cream
1/2 cup
Granulated sugar
1/4 cup
Egg
1, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into squares, approximately 4 inches by 4 inches.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed durian flesh, whipping cream, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of the durian mixture in the center of each pastry square, ensuring not to overfill.
  5. Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle. Press the edges together to seal, then use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
  6. Brush the top of each puff with the beaten egg to achieve a golden finish.
  7. Arrange the puffs on the prepared baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until they are puffed and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
