Servings: 4-6
Ingredients
- All-purpose flour
- 2 cups
- Eggs
- 4, large
- Milk
- 2 cups
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Butter
- 4 tablespoons, divided
- Powdered sugar
- for dusting
- Lemon wedges
- for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, milk, and salt until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
- Preheat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Melt a tablespoon of butter in the skillet until it sizzles.
- Pour a soup ladleful of the batter into the skillet, swirling it around to evenly cover the bottom of the skillet. This will create a thin pancake, similar to a crêpe.
- Cook the pancake for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and the top is set and slightly bubbly.
- Flip the pancake using a wide spatula and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the other side is golden brown.
- Remove the pancake from the skillet and keep it warm. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding more butter as needed.
- Serve the pancakes warm, dusted with powdered sugar and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for a tangy twist. Enjoy these Dutch treats for breakfast, brunch, or a delightful dessert.
