This lovely blend of fragrant Earl Grey tea, lightly frothed milk, and a kiss of vanilla makes for a luxurious treat, perfect for a cozy evening at home. The mild citrus notes of the tea harmonize beautifully with the creamy milk and sweet vanilla, creating a symphony of flavors that dance on your palate. Earl Grey, a traditional English tea, gets its distinctive flavor from the oil of Bergamot, a type of orange, adding a historical touch to your modern-day teatime.
Servings: 2
Ingredients
- Earl Grey tea bags
- 2
- Water
- 2 cups
- Milk
- 1 cup
- Sugar
- 2 teaspoons, or to taste
- Vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions
- In a medium-sized pot, bring water to a boil. Add the Earl Grey tea bags and let them steep for 3-5 minutes, allowing the tea to release its beautiful aroma and flavor.
- In the meantime, heat the milk in a separate saucepan over medium heat. Be sure not to let it boil. When it's hot, remove it from the heat.
- Froth the milk until it is creamy and foamy. You can use a milk frother for this, or if you don't have one, simply pour the milk into a jar, secure the lid, and shake vigorously.
- After the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and add the sugar and vanilla extract. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Pour the tea into two cups, then gently pour the frothed milk over the tea.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the comforting warmth and delightful flavors of your homemade Earl Grey Tea Latte.
