Ingredients
- Salsa
- 1/2 cup
- Guacamole
- 1/2 cup
- Sour cream
- 1/2 cup
- Burger buns
- 4
- Cheddar cheese
- 4 slices
- Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Onion
- 1, thinly sliced
- Red bell pepper
- 1, thinly sliced
- Green bell pepper
- 1, thinly sliced
- Fajita seasoning
- 1 packet
- Ground beef
- 1 pound
Instructions
- In a bowl, thoroughly mix the ground beef with the fajita seasoning. Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape each into a patty.
- Preheat a grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for about 5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the burgers are grilling, heat the olive oil in a separate skillet over medium heat. Add the bell peppers and onion. Sauté until they are tender and have a caramelized look to them.
- During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each burger, allowing it to melt over the meat.
- To assemble the burgers, start with the bottom bun. Layer on a generous spread of sour cream, a dollop of guacamole, and a spoonful of salsa. Add the cheese-topped burger and crown it with the sautéed peppers and onions. Finish with the top bun.
