Ingredients

Cilantro
1/4 cup, chopped
Salsa
1/2 cup
Guacamole
1/2 cup
Sour cream
1/2 cup
Tortillas

Chili powder
1 teaspoon
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Lime
juice of 1 lime
Onion
1 large, sliced
Bell peppers
2, sliced
Chicken breasts
2, sliced into thin strips

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, create the marinade by combining the lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the sliced chicken breasts into the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes, or for best results, refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Transfer the chicken from the marinade to the skillet, discarding the remaining marinade. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Cook until they are tender and slightly charred, about 5 minutes.
  5. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss with the cooked peppers and onion to combine.
  6. Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet over medium heat or in the oven wrapped in foil at 350°F for 10 minutes.
  7. Serve the chicken fajita mixture on warm tortillas. Allow each person to garnish their fajita with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and chopped cilantro.
