Cassava flour
2 cups
Unsalted butter
4 tablespoons
Bacon
1 cup, crumbled
Onion
1 medium, finely chopped
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Fresh parsley
1/4 cup, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the unsalted butter and let it melt completely.
  3. Stir in the finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Gradually add the cassava flour to the skillet, stirring well to combine with the onion and garlic mixture.
  5. Continue stirring and toasting the cassava flour for about 5-7 minutes, or until it turns a beautiful golden brown and emits a nutty aroma.
  6. Add the crumbled bacon, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle the freshly chopped parsley over the farofa for a pop of color and flavor.
