Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to create the glaze. Set this aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they turn a vibrant pink color and are cooked through. Once done, remove them from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the halved figs. Cook for 2-3 minutes until they soften slightly.
- Pour the prepared balsamic glaze over the figs, stirring to coat them evenly.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Toss them with the figs and balsamic glaze, ensuring they are well coated.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, so the shrimp are heated through and absorb some of the fig and balsamic flavors.
- Remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle your dish with fresh chopped basil.
