Fresh figs
12, stemmed
Honey
1/2 cup
Lemon juice
2 tablespoons
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon
Fresh mint leaves
for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Gently wash the figs and cut a small cross at the top of each fig, about halfway down, to allow the glaze to seep in.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, lemon juice, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Place the prepared figs in a baking dish, cut side up, and drizzle the honey mixture generously over them, ensuring each fig is well-coated.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the figs are soft and caramelized, with a beautiful golden hue.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve the glazed figs warm, garnished with fresh mint leaves for a refreshing touch.
