Serves 1

Ingredients

Milk
1 cup
Espresso or strong brewed coffee
1 shot (about 1 ounce)
Dried figs
1/4 cup, chopped
Walnuts
2 tablespoons, chopped
Honey or maple syrup
1 tablespoon (to taste)
Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon (plus extra for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it is hot but not boiling. Stir occasionally to prevent a skin from forming.
  2. While the milk is heating, combine the chopped figs, walnuts, honey or maple syrup, and cinnamon in a blender.
  3. Once the milk is hot, pour it into the blender with the fig and walnut mixture. Blend on high until smooth and frothy, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Brew your espresso or strong coffee and pour it into a mug.
  5. Pour the fig and walnut mixture over the coffee, stirring gently to combine the flavors.
  6. Optional: garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a slice of dried fig on top for an elegant touch.
  7. Enjoy your delicious Fig and Walnut Latte hot, and savor the delightful combination of flavors!

Tips

  • 💡 For a dairy-free version, substitute the milk with almond, oat, or coconut milk.
  • 💡 Add a pinch of nutmeg or vanilla extract for an extra layer of flavor.
  • 💡 If you prefer a sweeter latte, feel free to adjust the amount of honey or maple syrup to your taste.
