
Fish Hot Pot with Pickled Vegetables
This flavorful fish hot pot is made with fresh fish, pickled vegetables, and a savory broth.
Ingredients
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Lime (1, juiced)
- Cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Green onions (2, sliced)
- Chicken broth (4 cups)
- Fish sauce (1 tablespoon)
- Soy sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Ginger (1 tablespoon, grated)
- Pickled vegetables (1 cup)
- Fish fillets (1 pound)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat.
- Add the grated ginger and minced garlic, and sauté for a minute until fragrant.
- Add the pickled vegetables and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the broth simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper, then gently place them into the hot pot.
- Cover the pot and let the fish cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the pot from heat and stir in the soy sauce, fish sauce, green onions, cilantro, and lime juice.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Serve the fish hot pot in bowls, making sure to ladle some of the flavorful broth over the fish and vegetables.
- Garnish with additional sliced green onions and cilantro, if desired.
